Odisha: King Cobra that suffered broken ribs released into wild after full recovery

The reptile was rescued in an injured condition from Chilika in Odisha, after someone threw a brick on it from a rooftop. After an X-ray was done, veterinary surgeons decided to put a splint cast on the king cobra's fractured ribs to prevent further damage to the injury. The animal was kept under observation for over three weeks and was released when it was found that it could survive in the wild.
