Uttarakhand: 10-foot-long king cobra rescued from train

A 10-foot-long king cobra was rescued from a train at Kathgodam railway station. An Uttarakhand Forest Department (UKFD) rescue team along with RPF personnel at the Kathgodam Railway Station rescued the reptile. Both the teams ensured safety of passengers and without any commotion, the snake was taken out from the train. The cobra was spotted under the rail coach. The team was quick in rescuing the snake which helped the train start on schedule for its destination. Later King Cobra was released in its natural habitat, at a forest on the outskirts of the city.
