Singer, composer and actor Swarup Naik dies at 76

Renowned music composer, lyricist, singer, and actor Swarup Naik passed away at the age of 76 due to cancer. Swarup, hailing from Cuttack, was known for his work in the film industry. He started his career as a child actor and later ventured into music composition and songwriting. His last film as an actor was in 2008, and as a music director in 2010. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has instructed the home department to conduct his last rites with full state honors.

Noted music composer, lyricist, singer and actor Swarup Naik died of cancer at a private hospital in Cuttack on Friday. He was 76-year-old. Chief minister Naveen Patnaik and other dignitaries condoled his death.
