After making her movie debut in 2023 with a small role in The Kill Room, RAW star Liv Morgan is ready to add to her filmography with Takashi Miike's upcoming directorial, ‘Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo’. The WWE star will be joining the likes of Shun Oguri and Lily James and is rumored to have a significant role in the film. Having made a name for herself in the wrestling world, Morgan seems ready to take on Hollywood like many of her predecessors.

Liv Morgan joins the cast of ‘Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo’

As per Deadline, WWE star Liv Morgan, born Gionna Jene Daddio, is the next star from the world of wrestling to transition to Hollywood. While she already has 'The Kill Room' in her filmography, her upcoming venture, ‘Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo,’ will see her in a more prominent role, where she will be playing a politician's missing daughter. Morgan had recently said that she would be taking some time off of wrestling for an outside project, and this seems to be it.

The movie is set to begin production in May, with Neon looking to represent the international sales rights in Cannes later this month during the film festival. After Abel Ferrara's Bad Lieutenant (1992) and Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009), the upcoming movie also follows the story written by Daisuke Tengan and is said to be a reinterpretation of the original IP.

Takashi Miike is ready to get started on his upcoming directorial

With numerous classics under his belt, director Takashi Miike is ready to take a spin on the Bad Lieutenant IP. Talking about it, Miike said (via ):
“A team of incredibly talented actors and crew has gathered in Tokyo. Now. I’m about to throw a fastball straight down the middle of your strike zone – no tricks, no gimmicks. I’m confident we are about to break through every limit, to create unforgettable entertainment. Get ready for the ride with us."

As for WWE star Liv Morgan, who recently faced a defeat alongside her Tag Team partner Raquel Rodriguez at the hands of Lyra Valkyria and the returning Becky Lynch, during Night 2 of WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, this will be a different ball game. And fans can't wait to see what she has in store for us.
