“Viva Las Vegas”: Travis Kelce 'felt like home' in his Las Vegas weekend trip without Taylor Swift

Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce recently enjoyed a boys' trip to Las Vegas, participating in Justin Timberlake's 8AM Golf Invitational at the Wynn Golf Club. Kelce, accompanied by friends like Chandler Parsons and Blake Griffin, relished the camaraderie on and off the course, including karaoke sessions where Golden Tate playfully sang Taylor Swift's song.

With the NFL offseason in full swing, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has chosen to unwind in true superstar style — in Las Vegas. The three-time Super Bowl champion recently let loose in Sin City during a boys’ trip that combined friendly competition, star-studded company, and plenty of laughs, all while his high-profile romance with Taylor Swift took a backseat for the weekend.

Travis Kelce’s no-Swift Vegas escape had golf, friends, and a special sense of belonging

Travis Kelce, who’s remained relatively low-key since the Chiefs’ heartbreaking Super Bowl LVIII loss in February, broke from routine to participate in Justin Timberlake’s 8AM Golf Invitational. The exclusive event was hosted at the opulent Wynn Golf Club, a venue Kelce seems to consider his second home. “There's something about Las Vegas,” he told his brother and co-host Jason Kelce on their New Heights podcast. “It's just, you know, it's kinda where I feel at home.”

His comfort in Vegas wasn’t just about the fairways. Kelce gushed about the time spent with close friends both on and off the course. “Dude, so much fun,” he shared. “You got thrown into a group with two of my favorite human beings on the face of this earth, Chandler Parsons and Blake Griffin. And I was with another one of my favorite people on this earth, [comedian] Andrew Santino.”
“Viva Las Vegas,” he added, "where I just can't seem to lose. I just never lose in Vegas, man."
The camaraderie didn’t stop on the green. After the sun set, the group hit the casino and even indulged in some spirited karaoke. One of the evening’s highlights came when former NFL wide receiver Golden Tate serenaded the group with Taylor Swift’s “Our Song” — a playful nod to Kelce’s chart-topping girlfriend. Jason, meanwhile, delivered a dramatic rendition of Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” Travis recounted, “The first 10-15, maybe even 20 seconds, you guys were far the most entertaining crew up there. And then out of nowhere, it was just like a scream-off.”

While Travis was clearly in his element, Jason had a different experience on the golf course. Recently retired from the NFL and a new father of four, Jason admitted that it was one of his first real outings since his daughter Finnley’s birth. He also joked about his golf woes: “My first putt, I think, was, like, a 10-foot putt that I put legitimately five feet [away] to the point that everyone audibly laughed behind me. Like, somebody legitimately said, 'That can't be serious.'”
Despite the self-deprecating humor, the trip seemed to rejuvenate both brothers. For Travis, who had been laying low in Boca Raton, Florida, and focusing on workouts since February, this Las Vegas escape was more than just a vacation — it was a reminder of his passion for the game, good company, and his enduring love for the city.
While fans await the next public appearance of the NFL star with Taylor Swift, one thing is clear — Travis Kelce knows how to enjoy life in the offseason, especially when Vegas calls his name.
