Taylor Swift reportedly frustrated over involvement in It Ends With Us legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni

The legal drama surrounding It Ends With Us has taken a surprising turn, with Taylor Swift's name unexpectedly being dragged into the dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. While Swift had no involvement in the film’s production, her connection to Lively has placed her in the middle of the controversy—something she is reportedly not happy about.

The tension between Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni, and Ryan Reynolds escalated when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment. Baldoni denied the allegations and, in response, sued Lively, Reynolds, and publicist Leslie Sloane for $400 million the following month. The trial is set for 2026, and while Taylor Swift is not involved in the case, her name surfaced in Baldoni’s legal filings.
According to court documents, Baldoni referenced Swift in a text message exchange about changes to a pivotal rooftop scene in It Ends With Us. His message to Lively read:
"Was working on rooftop scene today, I really love what you did. It really does hep [sic] a lot. Makes it so much more fun and interesting. (And I would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor),” he wrote, adding a winking emoji.

While the message didn’t directly accuse Swift of anything, it was enough to raise eyebrows. A source close to the situation revealed that Swift "wasn’t happy with being brought into the legal mess."

Justin Baldoni’s messages also referenced a “megacelebrity” who was allegedly involved in discussions about scene revisions. Many speculate this unnamed celebrity was Swift, given her long standing friendship with Lively and Reynolds.
However, a separate insider quickly dismissed those claims, stating that Swift had "no creative involvement" in the film. While Lively and Baldoni reportedly had conflicting visions for the rooftop scene, Swift’s name being included in the dispute was purely incidental.
Despite speculation that this legal battle could impact their friendship, sources insist that Swift and Lively remain as close as ever. “There’s no truth that this has hurt their relationship,” an insider told Us Weekly. “They are still close friends.”
