Following the report of metal contamination, Chomps decided to ‘voluntarily’ expand the recall to include Chomps Original Turkey sticks to ensure that any possible product packaged during that timeframe was removed. “Prioritizing the safety and trust of our customers is at the heart of everything we do. Out of an abundance of caution, Chomps made the decision to include additional product beyond what was required to ensure all potentially affected items were removed from the market,” Chomps said in a statement on Saturday.

What to do if you have the recalled products?
FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ pantries, the agency said. If you have the recalled products lying in your pantries, stop consuming them. “Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase,” the agency said.
The company, in their recall notice, said that consumers should return those products to their retailer of purchase for a refund.
