'Bharat Mata ki Jai': Defence minister Rajnath Singh hails 'Operation Sindoor'

NEW DELHI: Defence minister Rajnath Singh hailed the "Operation Sindoor" launched by Indian Army against terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir."Bharat Mata ki Jai (Victory to Mother India)," he said in a post on X.The operation was launched in retaliation to Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26.Indian military forces launched strikes at nine sites in Pakistan calling it "focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature.""A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched 'OPERATION SINDOOR', hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed," the central government said in a press statement."Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution," it added.
