Padikkal, who suffered a right hamstring injury, has been ruled out after playing a pivotal role in RCB’s top order across 10 matches this season. The left-hander amassed 247 runs at an average of 27.44 and a brisk strike rate of 150.61, notching up two half-centuries, with a top score of 61.

With the playoffs fast approaching and competition at the top intensifying, RCB—currently second on the table with eight wins from 11 matches and a net run rate of +0.482 have turned to experience by roping in Agarwal. The Karnataka veteran joins the side for ₹1 crore.
