Divyabharathi breaks silence on rumors linking her to GV Prakash’s divorce: 'I would never date an actor'
After GV Prakash Kumar and Saindhavi parted ways last year, speculation arose online about the reason behind their split. While fans were saddened by the news, a section of social media quickly pointed fingers at actress Divyabharathi, linking her to the breakup. Since she had starred alongside GV Prakash in the 2021 film 'Bachelor', trolls alleged that they had been in a relationship. Despite both GV Prakash and Divyabharathi previously dismissing these rumors, the gossip persisted, eventually compelling the actress to issue a strong clarification.
Divyabharathi calls out false allegations
Taking to her social media handle, Divyabharathi expressed her frustration over being unfairly dragged into a “personal family matter.” She firmly stated that she had no involvement in GV Prakash’s private life and denounced the baseless claims. Addressing the allegations directly, she made it clear that she had no interest in dating an actor, especially a married one.
A firm and blunt response
“To be clear, I would never date an actor, and certainly not a married man. I stayed silent until now, believing these unfounded rumors did not deserve my attention. However, this has gone too far,” she wrote. Her response was direct, putting an end to the ongoing speculation.
Standing her ground against gossip
The actress explained that while she initially chose to ignore the rumors, she decided to speak out as the false accusations escalated. Refusing to let her reputation be tarnished, she asserted her independence and requested people to respect her boundaries. “I am a strong, independent woman, and I refuse to be defined by gossip. Let’s focus on positivity instead of spreading negativity. This is my first and final statement on the matter,” she concluded.
