'Chiyaan 61': Pasupathy reunites with Pa Ranjith and Chiyaan Vikram

Chiyaan Vikram and Pa Ranjith have joined hands for the first time for a mega-budget action film and the film's shoot started a few weeks back with a formal pooja. Therefore, the team has camped in the Kadapa district in Andhra Pradesh for the major schedule of shooting.
Pasupathy who recently won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his excellent role in Pa Ranjith's directorial 'Sarapatta Parambarai' has joined the director's next film too, and he will be playing a crucial role in the action drama.The actor has also joined the team and is currently shooting for it.
Also, 'Chiyaan 61' will mark Pasupathy's reunion with Chiyaan Vikram, and the duo will be sharing the screen space for the fifth time after the films 'Dhool', 'Arul', 'Majaa', and '10 Endrathukulla'.
Meanwhile, Malavika Mohanan, who was said to be roped in as a replacement for Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, is also not part of the film, Parvathy Thiruvothu is said to be roped in as the female lead, but the makers are yet to confirm over the actress's participation.
Chiyaan Vikram will be sporting a rustic look for the film, and it's going to be a more action-packed role from the versatile actor. 'Chiyaan 61' is reportedly set on the backdrop of Kolar Gold Mines, and the periodic action drama is set in the pre-independence period. GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the music for the film, while Kishore Kumar handles the camera.
