Actor
Siddharth Menon seems to have a strange connection with the name Shriya.
The actor who played a prominent role in Anurag Kahyap's film 'Peddlers' was on cloud 9 when South siren
Shriya Saran complemented him for his performance at Cannes a couple of years ago. "I follow a lot of South films and hence I really liked Shriya. That moment, when she complemented me is very memorable for me," Siddharth shared.
Siddharth debuted in the Marathi film industry with
Sachin Pilgaonkar's 'Ekulti Ek' where he was cast opposite actress
Shriya Pilgaonkar. Siddharth said, "This is another Shriya who made a moment memorable for me. We became friends via a social networking website and she would often tell me that she followed my work in theatre. One fine day I got a call from her father's office and I was offered a role opposite to her in her debut film which also happened to be my debut film in Marathi."
There is more to Siddharth's Shriya connect. "I stay with my relatives in Mumbai and my cousin's name is also Shriya," he added, with a smile.
