Recently, GV Prakash's mother, singer AR Reihana, discussed their divorce in a podcast. In a chat with Galatta, Reihana expressed her admiration for Saindhavi and shared her thoughts on the couple’s separation. She described Saindhavi as a wonderful person and expressed hope for reconciliation, though she acknowledged that their separation was a matter of destiny and not influenced by her. Reihana emphasized that she was not responsible for their parting and reflected on how wishes alone cannot change the course of events.

Reihana also spoke about her close bond with Saindhavi, mentioning that she feels more comfortable with her former daughter-in-law than with her own daughter. She shared that while her son’s reasons for the divorce were difficult for her to accept, they are valid from his perspective. “When I spoke to my son about their divorce, his reasons were hard for me to digest, yet they are valid for him,” she stated.
GV Prakash and Saindhavi first met during their school days and later began dating. They tied the knot in 2013 and welcomed their first child in 2020.
