University of Mysore to give gold medals in the name of Parvathamma and Puneeth Rajkumar

Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, after receiving the honorary doctorate on behalf of her husband Puneeth Rajkumar, announced that two gold medals to be given by the University of Mysore from the next year.
The medals will be given in the name of Dr. Rajkumar’s wife and producer Parvathamma Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar who passed away last year. The announcement was made on behalf of Dr. Rajkumar family by Prof.C. Naganna at the 102nd convocation which was held on Tuesday. A gold medal in the name of Parvathamma Rajkumar will be given in the subject of Master of Business Management and another gold medal in the name of Puneeth Rajkumar will be given in Fine Arts subjects.
The University of Mysore decided to give honorary doctorate to Puneeth Rajkumar posthumously because of his social service and his contributions to the Kannada film industry. After receiving the doctorate, Ashwini on her social media pages posted, “On behalf of our family members, friends and his fans, it is an honour to receive the Doctorate recognition for Shri Puneeth Rajkumar and I sincerely thank the University of Mysore for having conferred this with such love and regards. "
Actors Raghavendra Rajkumar, Vinay Rajkumar, Yuva Rajkumar, Dhanya Ramkumar and other family members were also present in the convocation to witness the moment.
