When Salim Khan revealed Salman Khan wants his wife to leave her career and be a home-maker: 'Usme apni maa dhoondta hai. Woh toh possible nahi hai'
Salman Khan's marriage seems like a national discussion of sort for many, as despite his fame, success, stardom and so many women in his life in the past, the actor has continued to remain single. The actor has refrained from getting married and a while ago, his father Salim Khan had opened up on it. Salim had said that while Salman gets attracted to the actresses he's worked with, once in the relationship, he tries to change her and make her like his mother. Salim had also confessed that Salman wants that if he gets married to someone, she should leave her career and do daily activities like taking kids to school, cooking, paying attention to their studies.

What’s Your Opinion on Prioritizing Career or Family?

The legendary scriptwriter, Salim Khan, had earlier spoken about his son's marriage, during a chat with Komal Nahta. He had said, "Salman ka pata nahi kya hai… Salman ki ek toh is wajah se bhi shaadi nahi hoti hai ki thoda sa contradiction bhi hai Salman ki thinking main (There is a contradiction in Salman’s thinking, which is one of the reasons why he’s not married)."
He further elaborated, “Salman ka lagaao ya mohabbat… he’s attracted to the person jiske saath kaam karte hain. They are very exciting, good-looking people. Interaction hota hai kaam karte karte. People come close because woh close atmosphere mein rehte hain. Toh 90 per cent of the time jo uss film ki heroine hi hoti hai woh (Salman is mostly attracted to the heroines he works with as they work in a close atmosphere, spend so much time together on a set and are good-looking people)."
However, the moment Salman gets into a serious relationship with the actress, he tries to change her and looks for his mother's qualities in her. He also added, that Salman expects a career-oriented woman to let go off her ambitions and then cater to the home and get into daily activities like taking kids to school, cooking for them and all. "Jab commitment ho jaata hai toh voh usko convert karne ki koshish karta hai, usme apni maa dhoondta hai. Woh toh possible nahi hai. Why should one deprive her ki main shaadi karke ghar baitha doonga? Uska wohi hota hai. (After commitment, he tries to convert them and looks for his mother in them. That is not possible. Why should we deprive her of her dreams and make her sit at home. That's his problem.)"
Thus, Salim stated that this is one of the major reasons why Salman isn't getting married. On work front, Salman will be seen next in 'Sikandar', set to release on Eid 2025.
