Will 'Chhaava' Cross the Rs 500 Crore Mark at the Box Office?

With the increasing trend of films opting for direct-to-digital releases, Chhaava has capitalised on its theatrical release and is on track to surpass the Rs 500 crore milestone. If it achieves this feat, it will mark Kaushal’s first film to enter the coveted 500-crore club, making it the highest-grossing film of his career.
The film has also garnered political recognition, with Maharashtra Minister Aditi Sunil Tatkare organising a special screening for MLAs and MLCs. “Chhaava was released recently, and we felt that all our MLAs and council members should definitely watch it. So, we organised a special screening during the session, with immense support from the cast, production, and distributors,” Tatkare told ANI.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava features Vicky in the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, alongside Akshaye Khanna as Emperor Aurangzeb. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Divya Dutta.
Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar also praised the film, calling it an “unprecedented” work that highlights history for the younger generation. “This film presents history in an engaging manner. My best wishes to all the artists and the production team,” he remarked.
