'Mulan' trailer: Liu Yifei stars as the warrior in this Disney’s live-action remake of the 1998 musical action adventure

The first trailer of Disney's live-action remake of its 1998 animated musical action-adventure film 'Mulan' has been dropped recently. The trailer was launched during the FIFA Women’s World Cup final match. Directed by Niki Caro, the film stars Yifei Liu in the lead role. The story of the film is set in China’s Han dynasty.
When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honoured warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father.
Masquerading as a man, Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and the journey transforms her into an honoured warrior and earns her the respect of a grateful nation and a proud father.

The film features a celebrated international cast including Yifei Liu, Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Gong Li, and Jet Li. The film is based on the narrative poem “The Ballad of Mulan.”
