Jason Statham's 'Meg' release postponed
Warner Bros Studios has postponed the release of actor Jason Statham's film 'Meg'. The movie, which was supposed to release on March 2 next year will now release five months later on August 10, 2018.
The shooting of the film, which is being directed by 'National Treasure' helmer Jon Turteltaub, had started in New Zealand last fall.

The plot is based on Steve Alten's novel 'MEG: A Novel of Deep Terror,' published in 1997 with the title drawn from the ancient Megalodon species that has survived while being trapped in the Mariana Trench, due to a barrier of cold water.

Apart from Statham, the film also stars Chinese actress Fan Bingbing, Jessica McNamee, Ruby Rose and Rainn Wilson. The movie will clash with the 'Scarface' remake at the box office next year.
