Talking about the same
Priyanka Chopra’s cousin,
Meera Chopra, has publicly expressed her support for Kangana Ranaut’s recent venture into politics. In an interview with Hitflik, Meera emphasized that this is an opportune moment for young individuals like Kangana to engage in political affairs. She acknowledged that while Kangana is still navigating the complexities of political life, she believes that the actress will ultimately find her footing. "I think it’s the time for young people to get in (politics). Look at Kangana. I think it’s the best time for her to get in," Meera stated, adding that despite her acting prowess, Kangana is still at the beginning of her political journey.
Meera also revealed her admiration for Kangana, highlighting the strength and resilience she has demonstrated throughout her career in Bollywood. "I am a huge Kangana fan. I think what she has done in this industry no other actress before, ever, since the inception of Bollywood has been able to do," she remarked.
Kangana's journey in Bollywood has been anything but conventional. Known for her unapologetic nature and fierce independence, she has often faced backlash for her candid remarks and actions. Meera noted that Kangana's unique approach has earned her respect within the industry: "She is a fighter, she is a survivor. She is alone, and that’s how she is working. Koi nahi kar paya aaj tak (No one has managed to do all this till date)." This resilience sets Kangana apart from her peers and contributes to her growing influence.
However, Meera also pointed out that Kangana's straightforwardness can lead to challenges. "She is not diplomatic; she doesn’t think before she talks, and that’s why she gets into so much trouble," Meera explained. This trait has resulted in frequent public apologies on social media due to controversial statements made by Kangana. "Nobody can deny she is a great actor. Is acting helping her in politics? No! The poor girl is apologising every 10 days on Twitter because of her wrong statements," Meera added.
Despite these hurdles, Meera remains optimistic about Kangana's potential as a leader. "I think, in politics, she is just facing teething problems… But if I look at her qualities, she is a fighter, she is a survivor, she is very strong," Meera asserted. She believes that these attributes are essential for effective leadership. "I think all these qualities you need in a leader. I think she will be a fab leader," Meera concluded.
Apart from being busy in her duty as an MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kangana is also gearing up for her film ‘Emergency’.
