While ‘Ahaa Re’ actor Arifin Shuvoo will be seen as Apu, Arpita will essay the role of Leela along with Sreelekha Mitra as Ranu di. Sabyasachi Chakraborty plays Apu’s friend and TV actress Dwitipriya Ray will be seen as Aparna.
‘Abhijatrik’ is presented by renowned Bollywood producer Madhur Bhandarkar and produced by Gourongo Films.
The Apu Trilogy - Pather Panchali (1955), Aparajito (1956) and Apur Sansar (1959) – is widely regarded as Satyajit Ray’s cult classic which started the neo-realist movement in Indian cinema.
