Zayn Ibad Khan and
Khushi Dubey, has already won hearts and led on TRP in the first week itself. Now, in an exclusive conversation with Times Of India TV, Vaidehi gets candid about her character, reason behind picking the show and more.
Entering a fantasy show, how has that experience been?
Entering another fantasy show has been an exciting journey for me. Fantasy shows have always held a special place in my career, starting with my debut. They allow me to explore a world of imagination and creativity, which is both challenging and rewarding. The intricate costumes, elaborate sets, and unique storylines push me to step out of my comfort zone and give my best. This new project has been no different, and I am thrilled to bring this character to life for the audience.
Tell us about your character?
My character, Sandhya, is a beautifully layered role. She is adored by everyone in her family for her kind and respectful nature. However, she is not a modern-day girl; she has been raised in a conservative environment where traditions and family values hold great importance. Sandhya’s journey revolves around navigating her family’s belief that she should not work and instead focus on marriage and fulfilling the expectations of her in-laws. It’s a challenging yet relatable role, as it reflects the struggles of many women balancing personal aspirations with societal norms. I’m excited to bring Sandhya’s story to life and explore her growth as an individual.
Are you also adding any charm to the fantasy in the show?
Absolutely! While Sandhya's character is rooted in traditional values, the fantasy element of the show allows me to bring her a unique charm. Her interactions with the fantastical elements will be fascinating to watch. Sandhya's inherent goodness and naivete, combined with her unfamiliarity with the magical world, will lead to some interesting and heartwarming moments—perhaps even some humorous ones! I think the audience will enjoy seeing how she adapts and grows as she encounters the extraordinary.
What made you agree to the show?
I was drawn to this show for several reasons. First and foremost, the fantasy genre has always fascinated me, and I love the idea of being part of a world where anything is possible. When I read the script, I was captivated by Sandhya's character and her journey. The blend of traditional values with a fantastical setting offers a unique perspective that I believe will resonate with many viewers.
Additionally, the opportunity to work with a reputed production house, a talented cast and crew was a significant factor. I felt that this project would not only challenge me as an actress but also allow me to grow creatively. Ultimately, I wanted to be part of a story that sparks imagination and evokes emotions, and this show certainly promises to do just that.
Any character that you wish to do?
I have always been drawn to roles that challenge me and allow me to explore new dimensions of storytelling. While I’ve enjoyed playing diverse characters in fantasy and mythological shows, I would love to portray a strong, independent woman in a contemporary setting—someone who breaks stereotypes and inspires others. A role with depth, perhaps a lawyer, detective, or even a historical figure, would be exciting. I believe such characters not only push me as an actor but also leave a lasting impact on the audience.
