With a big release around the corner — Mission Mangal’ — Taapsee Pannu is busy with flurry of promotional activities. The film, which stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Memen, Sharman Joshi, H G Dattatreya, Sanjay Kapoor, and of course, Taapse, is based on the Indian Space Research Organisation’s Mars Orbiter Mission, which made Mars more accessible to explore.
The team is currently busy with appearances on TV shows and giving interviews.

And in a recent interaction, Taapsee was asked about the #MeToo movement, which became a big issue last year. The actress, who is known to speak her mind on issues that she believes in, said that although not much is being discussed about the movement now, one should not lose heart. Recent months have seen several names being given a clean chit in #MeToo cases, making people wonder if the movement fizzled out too soon.
Taapsee said that she was hopeful that the movement would not go out of focus. She added that she felt that #MeToo ‘suddenly exploded’ and that although things cannot change overnight, women should not give up. She said it was important not to give up because otherwise even future generations would have to suffer. She said that despite there being times when one failed, they should not give up because one day, they would get the results they deserved. And that women should be strong for the sake of future generations.
