Han So Hee set to star in Korean remake of Hollywood's 'The Intern'

Popular actress Han So Hee, well known for her roles in ‘My Name’ and ‘Gyeongsang Creature’, is all set to star in a remake of the popular Hollywood film 'The Intern'. The actress has been offered to play the lead role in the film, which was initially played by Anne Hathaway in the original movie.According to Soompi, the actress's management recently issued a statement that confirmed the news.In a comment regarding the matter, the company shared that "‘The Intern’ is one of the projects that she has been offered.”The company has refused to make any more comments on the matter, though, and has remained tight-lipped about the actress's future career path so far.The remake has been in talks since last year, with many actors and actresses being speculated to be offered the role. Choi Min Sik was one such actor that was allegedly going to be starring in the Korean remake; however, the production company for the film had laid all claims to rest by sharing that "nothing has been decided".The actress is currently one of the most sought-after actors in the industry. Not only that, but she has also worked on some major projects that instantly went popular upon release. Some of her most noted works include ‘My Name’, ‘Nevertheless’, ‘Gyeongsang Creature’, and ‘Abyss’.The original film features the popular stars Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro in the main roles. It is a sweet tale that tells the story of a retired 70-year-old widower man who joins a retail fashion website as a PA intern. He joins the company as part of the senior’s programme and works under Anne's character as her personal assistant.
