A recent burglary at Park Na Rae’s home has brought renewed attention to a past comment made by fellow entertainer Kian84, who had warned her about questionable individuals in her circle. The burglary, which involved valuables worth tens of millions of Korean Won, took place at Park Na Rae’s residence in the upscale Itaewon area of Seoul.
No signs of forced entryThe incident happened on April 7, and Park didn't realize there had been a break-in until the next day when she got home, according to Korean media outlet Wikitree. On April 8, her agency told Maeil Business Star that many valuable items were missing, confirming the theft. Notably, police did not discover any evidence of forced entry, which raised the possibility of an inside job and raised suspicions that the crime might have been committed by someone with access to her home.
Kian84’s 2024 warningThese suspicions have made Kian84's previous statements clearer. Kian84 voiced concerns about the people she surrounds herself with during a July 2024 episode of his YouTube show 'Life84,' which featured Park Na Rae as a guest. Kian84 applauded her generosity but cautioned, saying,“You trust people too easily. There are some shady people around you.” When Park asked for clarification, he added, “There are a few. You need to be careful of people who constantly talk about money or brag about what they do.”
Park Na Rae cancels public appearance
In 2021, Park Na Rae paid 5.5 billion KRW (about 3.9 million USD) at auction for the detached house. She had to abruptly cancel her appearance on Son Tae Jin's Trot Radio show due to the ongoing police investigation and required formalities.
Kian84's remarks have taken on new significance as the investigation progresses, with many questioning whether his earlier warning was a hidden warning of the regrettable events that took place.
