Two brand new TV shows are lined up for the launch on July 4. While Amudhavum Annalakshmiyum marks the comeback of Kanmani Manoharan, Abhitha is making her come back into Tamil television with 'Maari'.
Amudhavum Annalakshmiyum showcases the story of Amudha, whose dream in life is to complete her studies that she couldn’t pursue after her mother’s demise.
A straightforward and courageous woman, Amudha desires to marry a teacher, hoping that he would be able to help her achieve her dream of getting educated. On the other hand, Anna Lakshmi, a strong-willed woman, who wants to restore her family’s lost pride and wants her son Senthil to become a teacher. On the other hand, Senthil works as a peon in a school while pretending to be a teacher in front of his family. Will Amudha’s dream come true? The plot revolves around what happens when both Amudha and Annalakshmi discover the truth about Senthil. Kanmani Manoharan, of Bharathi fame, wrote the story. Kannamma fame, Kanmani Manoharan will be seen playing as 'Amudha'.
Maari is a supernatural thriller produced by the makers after the success of 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini'. The TV serial, set in the backdrop of ‘Samayapuram,’ promises to be a visual treat for viewers and will revolve around Maari, a gifted girl with the power of premonition (supernatural ability to foresee the future). She lives her life for the betterment of the people around her and leverages her powers to help them out. However, she is shunned by the rest of the family as well as the villagers. What happens when she gets married.This forms the crux of the story.
The cast includes Ashika, ‘Sethu’ fame Abitha, veteran actor Delhi Ganesh, actress Vanitha Vijayakumar, Sonia, ‘Eeramana Rojave’ fame Shiva.
Both shows will be aired on the popular entertainment channel which features popular shows like Ninanthale Innikum, Sathya, Vidhya No.1, and Anbe Sivam. While Amudhuavum Annalakshmiyum is set to air from 7PM, Maari will air from 8PM on weekdays.
