TV actress Gehana Vasisth was arrested by the Mumbai police a few months ago for her involvement in allegedly shooting and uploading adult content on mobile apps. After Shilpa Shetty's businessman-husband Raj Kundra got arrested and remanded to police custody till July 23, Gehana's representative has issued a statement. The actress, who is now out on bail said, "The law will take its course.We have full faith in Mumbai police, but they should not mix up porn with erotica or bold content. We have always said that Mumbai police is the best force in the world. The courts will eventually decide during trial as to who are the real culprits and which of the arrested accused were merely used by others."
The statement further read, “We don't want to comment any more, as Gehana is on bail in the same cases and she does not want to prejudice or impair her right to her personal defence. However, police should investigate fully as there are many more skeletons in the cupboards of the rich and famous."
The alleged pornography case was being probed into since February 21. The investigation was then followed by nine people's arrest, including actress Vandana Tiwari alias Gehana Vasisth. Raj Kundra's name appeared in the probe after the Property Cell learned about the involvement of a UK production company, Kenrin, whose executive, Umesh Kamat was arrested by the cops.
Umesh, a former employee of Raj Kundra, was accused of uploading at least eight "pornographic and obscene" videos shot by Gehana Vasisht on social media apps for monetary gains.
Gehana hails from Chhattisgarh and always wanted to be an actress. She won the title of Miss Asia Bikini in 2012 and went on to do commercials and a few Hindi and Telugu films. She was also seen in the TV show, Behenein in 2010 and did a web show too.
