One of the most emotional episodes of popular TV show
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah unfolded when Dilip Joshi’s character, Jethalal, found himself in an unimaginable situation. It was when Jethalal got lost and ended up in the Pakistan jail. It all began when Jethalal lost his way during a camel ride in Kutchh and accidentally crossed the India-Pakistan border. He then got mistaken for a spy and was taken under the custody by the Pakistan police.
Back in India, Daya (played by Disha Vakani), his son Tipendra (Bhavya Gandhi), and father Champaklal Gada (Amit Bhatt) were emotional as they got to know about the same. Moreover, they left no stone unturned in their attempt to bring him back. They first contacted the Pakistani embassy in Delhi. Later, they tried every connection possible to get Jethalal back to India.
Meanwhile, Jethalal’s journey behind bars was no less than a torture for him. However, despite of the emotionally charged episode, Jethalal, Daya and others didn’t fail to give unlimited dose of laughter to the fans. While initially treated with suspicion and hostility, he eventually befriends his fellow inmates and even earns goodwill by repairing a Pakistani officer’s phone—thanks to his experience running Gada Electronics.
Jethalal, requests the officials saying, “Meri Daya meri chinta kar rahi hogi…” His emotional request was granted, and what follows is a touching phone call between Jethalal and Daya, both overwhelmed with emotion. However, the heartwarming moment is cut short as the phone’s battery dies, leaving viewers teary-eyed.
The storyline struck a chord with fans for its unique blend of humor, emotion, and patriotism. It not only showcased Jethalal’s resilience but also the emotionally rooted bond he shares with Daya. Fans absolutely loved and enjoyed the episodes and praised the actors for their performance.
