Ali Asgar, who played Nani on The Kapil Sharma Show, recently spoke to the media for the first time about why he quit the comedy show.
Post Kapil Sharma-Sunil Grover's mid-air tiff on a flight from Melbourne to Mumbai, it was not just Sunil who had left the show but also Ali, Chandan Prabhakar and Sugandha Mishra.
Talking about the same, Ali Asgar cited creative differences for leaving the show, and confessed he misses the stage and the team.

He said, "It is unfortunate. There are times when you are at crossroads and you have to take a decision. I miss the show and the stage. We have walked together as a team. But a time came when I felt professionally I had reached a point. I moved out due to creative differences as my character had become stagnant and wasn't going anywhere. There was no scope for improvement in it."

In the recent news, Ali Asgar and the former teammates of The Kapil Sharma Show - creative director Preeti Simoes, her sister Neeti, Sugandha Mishra and Sanket Bhosle have now joined hands with his arch rival Krushna Abhishek for a new comedy show, which will soon be launched on the same channel that airs The Kapil Sharma Show.
