Actress Sandipta Sen’s career seems to be on the right track. After having a successful inning in the Bengali television industry, Sandipta is making her presence felt in OTT and movies too. She stole hearts as Chumki in Koushik Ganguly, Ankush Hazra and Debasish Mondal starrer web series ‘Shikarpur’, which earned appreciation from the audience. Ankush and Sandipta’s Jodi managed to woo the audience too.

Now, the actress will soon be seen in yet another project which is a detective series. Sandipta will play a meaty role in the much-awaited Ekenbabu franchise ‘Ruddhaswas Rajasthan’, starring Anirban Chakrabarti in the titular role. It will also feature artists Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, Somak Ghosh, Rajatava Dutta Roni, Rajesh Sharma, Ananya Sengupta, Sudip Mukherjee, Sudip Sarkar and others. Notably, author Sujan Dasgupta, who created the character Eken Babu, recently passed away.
Speaking about Sandipta, who is mostly seen playing a girl next door in daily soaps, will be seen in a completely different avatar in ‘The Eken’, which is scheduled to release in April.
She tasted immense success on Bengali small screen and is considered one of the most sought-after artists who enjoys a good fan base. After the massive success of her very first television show ‘Durga’, starring Gourab Chatterjee as the male lead, she has been a part of many television shows including ‘Tapur Tupur’, ‘Pratidaan’, ‘Rani Rashmoni’ and others. Sandipta’s portrayal of Maa Sarada in Bengali TV’s yet another popular period drama ‘Rani Rashmoni’, was appreciated by the audience.
