Vijay Sethupathi's much-awaited film 'VJS 52,' directed by Pandiraj, has finished shooting. The film, featuring stars like Nithya Menen and Yogi Babu, is now in post-production. Fans eagerly anticipate its 2025 release after extensive filming in Tiruchirappalli.

Actor-producer R K Suresh, wanted in connection with the Aarudhra gold trading scam case, appeared before EOW-CID officials in Chennai after being on the run for over a year. He returned from Dubai and was detained by immigration officials at the Chennai International Airport. After a three-hour inquiry, the police released him with a warning to cooperate with their investigation. Suresh was questioned about the money trail and alleged payments to BJP functionaries to remove names from the FIR.

The Madras high court has refused to stay the summons issued by Economic Offences Wing (EOW) against film producer, actor and BJP functionary R K Suresh in the ₹2,438-crore Aarudhra Gold Trading scam.

Filming of the much-awaited sequel of 'Pokkiri Raja', 'Madhura Raja', starring Mammootty has commenced in Ernakulam. Though a sequel, the movie won't be a continuation of the first part, instead will focus on Mammootty's character Raja. Mammootty will reportedly join the shoot by August 20.

The Economic Offences Wing CID police have issued a fresh summons to film producer-cum-actor RK Suresh, who is suspected to be involved in a ₹2,438 crore gold trading scam. The company, Aarudhra, swindled money from over 1 lakh depositors by luring them to invest in their schemes. The police have sought Interpol's help to apprehend the absconding directors of Aarudhra, who are believed to be in Dubai. The EOW-CID has registered a case for cheating and has requested Interpol's assistance in extraditing the suspects.
