A group of Patiala devotees walked 85 kilometers from Qila Anandgarh Sahib to Thanda Burj Open Tower in Fatehgarh Sahib to commemorate the martyrdom of two younger sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh and his mother Mata Gujri. Safareshahadat, which is a pilgrimage undertaken by devotees, accompanied the devotees around 4 am on December 22. The devotees started their journey on foot from Qila Anandgarh Sahib and reached Thanda Burj Open Tower on Sunday around 7 pm. During the pilgrimage, the devotees stayed at locations that formed a part of the journey undertaken by Mata Gujri and younger sahibzadas. The pilgrims also crossed the Sirsa River to commemorate the journey undertaken by younger sahibzadas when they were arrested by the then Mughal rulers and taken on foot to Fatehgarh Sahib.
