Ratan Tata, the 86-year-old former chairman of Tata Sons, has recently addressed and dismissed rumours about his health circulating in the media. Responding to false reports about his health, Tata clarified that he has been hospitalised for routine health check-ups.
In a statement, Tata said, “I am aware of the recent rumours circulating regarding my health and want to assure everyone that these claims are unfounded.” He emphasised that while he is undergoing routine medical check-ups, primarily due to his age and related conditions, there is no reason for concern. These check-ups, he explained, are a standard part of maintaining his health, given his age.

Tata reassured the public that he is in good spirits and healthy. He also made an appeal to the public and media to avoid spreading misinformation. "I remain in good spirits and request that the public and media refrain from spreading misinformation," he said, seeking to prevent any further unnecessary speculation about his health.
This clarification came after a media report erroneously claimed that Tata had been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital early Monday morning. Tata's prompt response serves to dispel any concerns or doubts regarding his well-being and to curb the spread of inaccurate information.
