Realme 14X to launch tomorrow in India: What we know so far

Realme’s next mid-range smartphone, the Realme 14X, is set to launch in India tomorrow (December 18) at 12pm. The company has been teasing the smartphone, which is set to be India's first IP69-rated smartphone under Rs 15,000, on its social media handles for some days now. Last week, confirmed the launch date of Realme 14 X and has also teased multiple key highlights of the same. The company has also confirmed that the phone that will succeed the Realme 12X will be available for purchase on launch day. Here’s what we know about the smartphone:

Realme has teased the design and specs of the smartphone that will be available soon on the company’s online store as well as e-commerce platform Flipkart. The company has also confirmed that the phone will be priced under Rs 15,000.
Rumours claim that the base variant of the smartphone will start at Rs 11,999. Realme 14X will have a sleek design and will be available in three colours: Golden Glow, Crystal Black and Jewel Red.
The smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset and a 120Hz “Sun-Ready” display. Rumours claim that the Realme 14X will sport a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen and may become available in three storage options.

The company has confirmed that the smartphone variants will offer up to 18 GB Dynamic RAM (8+10GB) and up to 128 GB storage. Realme 14X will also house a 50MP camera unit.
Realme 14X will also offer military-grade shock resistance that will make the smartphone “fall-proof” the company claims. The phone is also being promoted as the first one under Rs 15,000 to come with an IP69 dust and water-resistant rating.
The smartphone will also pack a 6,000 mAh battery that will support up to 45W fast charging. Realme also promises that the smartphone will offer a 115% stronger 5G signal, free call without network and 200% volume for a better calling experience.
