Emma Frost playable character confimred in Marvel Rivals season 2 trailer

Emma Frost is coming to Marvel Rivals in season 2. The game’s developer, NetEase, has shared the official trailer of Marvel Rivals Season 2 on YouTube. The trailer confirms that the upcoming season, named Hellfire Gala, is set to release this month. The latest trailer also reveals that Emma Frost will join the game as a new playable character and hints at Ultron’s role as the season’s villain. However, it remains unclear whether Ultron will be a playable character. His appearance in the trailer validates previous speculation spurred by in-game chat messages.


Marvel Rivals Season 2 is set to launch on April 11, which will bring the mutant island of Krakoa stranded in 2099 into focus.
Despite several details having leaked before, the official trailer provides a clear first look at Emma Frost's character model and showcases several X-Men in updated skins, along with hints at new characters.
Ultron’s appearance, complete with an MCU nod proclaiming the Age of Ultron, adds a fresh twist to the storyline.

Rumours suggest that Marvel Rivals Season 2 may introduce a new mechanic called Krakoa Portals, potentially altering gameplay by adding more map portals. However, this may cause performance issues similar to those seen with Doctor Strange’s portals unless fixed by an upcoming patch.

The upcoming season is also likely to bring new skins for several characters, including those for Black Panther, Black Widow, Bruce Banner, Captain America, Cloak & Dagger, Luna Snow, Magik, Storm, Psylocke and Wolverine.
