WWE Legend Slams The Rock for Mistreating the Undisputed WWE Champion

WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson played a vital role during WWE RAW’s debut on Netflix. The Rock presented Roman Reigns with the Ula Fala after he defeated Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat. But, before that, The Rock cut a promo where he gave Cody Rhodes his flowers. At least, this is what it looked like at first, but The Rock’s joke and condescending tone didn’t sit well with WWE legend, Bully Ray.

Bully Ray criticized The Rock’s promo and the way he treated Cody Rhodes. He said, “I don't know what the subliminal message was or why they thought it was a good idea,” he further said, “Cody and Rock side-by-side, sharing the spotlight [would have been a better presentation]. Not Cody beneath The Rock, hanging out in the front row as a fan. And then to have — tell Mama Rhodes I said hello; condescending!”

Bully Ray also defended Rhodes’ reaction saying, “What does Cody have to do? Cody has to sit there and [sarcastically laugh], and go, 'That was a good one Rock, you do comedy too!' Oh my God. No way, man. No way.” While Bully Ray didn’t like The Rock’s promo, he was quite happy with how much love the fans showed The Undertaker. Ray also noted that The Rock’s interaction with Roman Reigns might’ve been an indication of his end in the Bloodline saga.

However, it has to be noted that a match between The Rock and Roman Reigns would bring in way too much money to not be booked. But, it is yet to be seen whether Johnson's Hollywood commitments will leave him with enough time to get into the ring this year.
