Carmelo Anthony's list of honors will soon include being inducted into the first-ballot Hall of Fame. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Anthony has reportedly been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2025. Throughout his 19-year career, Anthony, who is most remembered for his stints with the Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks, developed a solid resume.

Carmelo Anthony has a new feather in his cap

While playing with the Knicks in 2013, Carmelo Anthony led the NBA in scoring and was named an All-Star team ten times. With the U.S. men's basketball team, Anthony also won three gold medals at the Olympics and one bronze. Anthony was selected six times to the All-NBA team and ten times to the All-Star team throughout his career, which spanned from 2003 to 2022.

With a total of 1,260 career games, he averaged 22.5 points per game, earning the tenth spot on the NBA's all-time scoring record. He was also selected for the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team and was a member of the 2003–04 All-Rookie Team. And now he gets to add yet another to his list of achievements. Being elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is a great pretty big deal, but he is more than deserving of it.

Life comes full circle for Carmelo Anthony

Before being moved to the New York Knicks in the 2010–11 season, Anthony played his first seven seasons in Denver. Then he became one of the league's best players with the Knicks, making six consecutive NBA All-Star Games from 2011 to 2017. Anthony was the league's top scorer in the 2012–13 season, posting an incredible 28.7 points per game. Melo was also the league's top scorer in the 2012–13 season, posting an incredible 28.7 points per game.

Anthony retired from basketball as a three-time Olympic Gold champion with Team USA Basketball, despite never having an NBA Finals ring throughout his illustrious career. The announcement that Anthony will soon be inducted into the Hall of Fame follows Syracuse University's announcement that he will give the commencement speech to the graduating seniors in 2025. In a press release, Anthony stated that this May will be a "full-circle moment" for him.
