The upcoming update of Minecraft introduces Happy Ghast, the versatile and friendly mob that is set on changing how the players explore and build. Unlike the hostile Nether counterpart, these Happy Ghasts are peaceful variants. They can be tamed, ridden, and used for creating buildings. The guide here will walk you through all you need to know about obtaining and using them. It will also show how you can make the most out of the exciting new addition.

How to get a Happy Ghast?

To get the Minecraft Happy Ghast, you will need to follow the steps mentioned below.
  • Start looking in the Nether for the Dried Ghast blocks. You can find them in the Soul Sand Valley biome near bone block structures.
  • The blocks resemble the frowning, tine ghast skulls. They can be mined using hand.
  • After connecting, bring Dried Ghast to Overworld and submerge it in the water.
  • In over 20 minutes, it will transform into a Ghastling, the baby version of Happy Ghast.

The Ghastlings are playful and curious. They float around and interact with the players. Feed them snowballs, to speed up Ghastling's growth into the full Happy Ghast. After they have grown fully, the Happy Ghast will be ready to become your flying companion.

Steps to craft Ghast Harness

To ride the Happy Ghast, you will need Ghast Harness. It’s an item that is crafted using,
  • 2 glass blocks
  • 3 leather
  • 1 wool block- the color of the wool determines the appearance of the Harness, allowing for the customization choice.

After the Harness is crafted, place it on Happy Ghast and prepare it for the flight.

How to ride and use the Happy Ghast?

Happy Ghast can carry up to 4 players, with the front rider controlling movement. While it is not as fast as the elytra, it does offer a scenic and unique way to explore the Overworld.
An exciting feature of the Happy Ghast is its ability to act like a mobile platform. The players can dismount mid-air. They can stand on the head of the Happy Ghast. All of this makes it perfect to build sky structures or create parkour courses.

Happy Ghast creative uses

Beyond the exploration, for the builders, a Happy Ghast is a game-changer. The ability of it to hover in places while the players build makes it an excellent tool to construct tall structures or sky bases.
The Happy Ghast can also be leased or mounted on the minecarts. It allows for its creative uses in the mini-games or custom maps.
The Happy Ghast is one of the fantastic additions to Minecraft. It offers the players newer ways to explore, collaborate, and build. From obtaining the Nether’s Dried Ghast to crafting a harness and taking it to the skies, the mob brings a fresh layer of convenience and creativity to the game. Whether you are a new player or a seasoned builder, the Happy Ghast will surely become the beloved part of your Minecraft adventures.
