Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s close friend and business partner, Juhi Chawla, recently reminisced about his early days, recalling how he used to juggle 2-3 shifts a day. She also reflected on how SRK once had no home in Mumbai, and now, he owns properties in cities across the world.
SRK and Juhi’s Friendship and Professional Bond
Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan have shared the screen in several films, including Darr, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, and Duplicate. Beyond films, they are also business partners, co-owning the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, which recently clinched the IPL championship.

SRK’s Early Days: No Home, Juggling Multiple Films
At an event hosted by the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Juhi Chawla reminisced about Shah Rukh Khan's early days in Mumbai. She recalled how he had no permanent home in the city and seamlessly blended in with the film crew, sharing meals and tea with them. During that time, he juggled multiple projects, including Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Dil Aashna Hai, and Deewana, showcasing his relentless dedication and work ethic.
Losing His Car Due to Unpaid EMIs
Reflecting on Shah Rukh Khan’s struggles in the 90s, Juhi Chawla recalled how he once owned a black Gypsy, which was taken away due to unpaid EMIs. She remembered him arriving on set feeling dejected, assuring him that he would own many more cars in the future. Today, SRK fondly remembers that moment, as her words turned into reality.
Today, Shah Rukh Khan owns several luxury cars and resides with his family in Mannat, his iconic sea-facing bungalow in Bandra, Mumbai.
