Around 1 a.m., an explosion occurred outside BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia's Jalandhar residence. Kalia, initially thinking it was thunder, notified the police after being informed of the blast. Forensic teams are currently inspecting the site, and CCTV footage is being reviewed to determine the cause and identify any potential suspects.

A blast occurred around 1am outside BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia’s residence in Jalandhar. Kalia, who initially mistook it for thunder, later alerted police. A forensic team is inspecting the scene, with CCTV footage under review.
"There was a blast at around 1 am...I was sleeping, and I thought that it was the sound of thunder...Later I was informed that a blast had taken place...after this, I sent my gunman to the police station...CCTV is being investigated; forensic experts are also present here," Kalia said.
DCP Manpreet Singh confirmed the incident and said a detailed report will follow after the forensic examination.
