AR Rahman announces the lead actor of his film '99 Songs'

Music maestro AR Rahman has introduced one of the lead actors, Ehan Bhat, from his upcoming project ’99 Songs’ today.
Sharing the debutant’s picture on his social media, the composer who’s turning writer and producer with this project wrote, “Introducing the talented @itsEhanBhat who marks his debut as the lead of #99Songs. I hope you will shower him with as much love as I have received from you.Releasing worldwide in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil on 21st June 2019.” (sic) The actor too shared the news on his social media and replied, “I couldn’t have asked for a better debut than #99Songs! This is a dream come true. Thank you @arrahman sir and @offjiostudios. Releasing worldwide in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil on 21st June 2019. Looking forward to all your love and wishes!” (sic)
Apart from Ehan Bhat, ’99 Songs’ will also star debutants Edilsy Varghese and Tenzin Dalha. According to reports, the trio were chosen after close to a 1000 auditions. Apart from them, Lisa Ray, Manisha Koirala, composer-drummer Ranjit Barot and Indian Oean’s Rahul Ram will also star in the film which will be directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy.
’99 Songs’ will be a young, passionate love story with music at its soul. The first single of the film was also mixed earlier this month by the maestro who wrote on his social media, “Just mixed three language versions of one the most important songs we have ever made this decade for 99songs ..need your love releasing in a few days ...are you ready ? @offjiostudios @JioSaavn #99songsthemovie #ellapugazhumiraivanukke” (sic)
’99 Songs’ is slated for release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi on June 21 this year.
