On X (formerly Twitter) from the official handle of the film, the makers wrote, "Tomorrow 12:06 PM... Stay tuned. #NTRNeel". The tweet suggests the makers making an announcement in the afternoon on April 9th, 2025.

The collaboration between Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel is significant, as both are known for their intense performances and storytelling. Prashanth Neel, renowned for his work on 'KGF: Chapter 1', 'KGF: Chapter 2', and 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire', brings his signature style of high-octane action sequences and gripping narratives. Jr NTR, fresh from his international success with 'RRR' and 'Devara: Part 1' is expected to deliver a powerful performance.

The film is rumored to be inspired by the life of Zhao Wei, a notorious Chinese gangster who ruled the Golden Triangle region. Jr NTR will reportedly play a powerful mafia don who rises through the ranks amidst intense conflicts between rival gangs. The title of the project is also speculated to be 'Dragon'.
The film, tentatively titled 'NTRNeel', began shooting in February 2025 at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The initial schedule featured an elaborate action sequence involving over 3,000 junior artists. Jr NTR is set to join the sets soon.
