Aadarsh to play a RAW agent in Gopichand’s spy thriller

After playing negative roles in movies like Babu Baga Busy, PSV Garuda Vega, Vijetha and W/O Ram, Aadarsh Balakrishna is going in for an image makeover with his next. The cricketer-turned-actor is playing a Raw agent in Gopichand’s spy thriller, Chanakya and admits he’s ‘loving not having to play the baddie for a change’. Talking about his role, Aadarsh says, “It’s been a while since I played a positive character, so it comes as a huge relief.I play a RAW agent who works with Gopi on an operation. A total patriot who’s extremely family oriented as well, he’s a no nonsense guy who talks to the point and takes his job seriously. The role has a certain ‘thairao’ (gravitas) about it and I’m enjoying it thoroughly.”
The film will showcase him in a hitherto unseen action avatar. “I’ve done some serious action sequences for the film and they will be a revelation for the audience. As a kid, I was always fascinated by spies and to have got to play one is really gratifying. I hope the audience will enjoy my performance as much as I loved playing the role,” says Aadarsh, signing off.
