When Mamitha Baiju recalled her first encounter with Thalapathy Vijay on the set of 'Jana Nayagan'

Mamitha Baiju, who is currently working alongside Thalapathy Vijay in the highly anticipated film 'Jana Nayagan', shared an emotional and heartwarming story about her first meeting with the superstar. Mamitha Baiju, who plays a significant role in the film, opened up about her nervousness and excitement when she met Thalapathy Vijay for the first time on set during her interaction at a college event. The pretty actress, who had been a fan of Vijay, couldn’t hold back her anxiety when she was introduced to him. “When I saw Vijay sir for the first time, I was extremely nervous. I could only manage to say ‘Hi Sir,’ and my hands were trembling. I couldn’t speak much beyond that,” she recalled in an interview with Galatta.
Understanding her nervousness, Thalapathy Vijay, who is known for his warm and humble personality, immediately walked over to her. In a gesture that left Mamitha speechless, he smiled and said, “Hi Ma,” while offering a handshake and a comforting hug. This simple yet thoughtful act made Mamitha feel at ease and helped her overcome the nervousness she was feeling. Reflecting on that moment, she expressed that it was hard to put into words how special the encounter felt, both as an actress and a fan. “As a fan, I don’t think I can express that feeling in words. It was beyond anything I could have imagined,” she shared. Mamitha Baiju also mentioned that Vijay's friendly and approachable nature is evident on set, as he is always seen greeting everyone with a warm “Hi,” regardless of their role in the production.
