Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar has confirmed his involvement in 'Jailer 2', revealing that he will once again play a small role, much like his cameo in the first part. The production house behind 'Jailer', had announced the sequel, 'Jailer 2', following the overwhelming success of the first instalment. After a pooja ceremony in March, the first schedule of the shoot began on April 12, 2025, with filming taking place in Kerala. A 14-day schedule is planned, with key scenes between Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishnan currently being shot. The buzz around 'Jailer 2' has only grown, and fans are eagerly awaiting updates about the film.

The actor recently spoke about his role in 'Jailer 2' at the Kannada movie '45' press meet, saying, “I am part of Jailer 2, and my role, though small, doesn’t matter. Honestly, all I did was walk with a cigarette in my hand and push a tissue box. I have no idea why I received such an overwhelming response for such a brief appearance.” 'Jailer', which released in 2023, became a massive hit worldwide, grossing over Rs 625 crores, and was one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of the year.
