Karu is a very emotional film: RJ Balaji

RJ Balaji, who has several movies and also a live show, From Ice House to White House, coming up, says that his first release in 2018 will be Thaana Serndha Kootam, followed by director Vijay’s horror thriller Karu. The film marks the Tamil debut of Premam girl Sai Pallavi, who plays the lead along with Tollywood actor Naga Shourya.
Talking about his role in the movie, Balaji says, “I play the role of a cop.It was funny to watch myself in the trailer initially. But I am glad I did this movie because it was a very gratifying role. Karu is a very emotional film and my character becomes an integral part of Sai Pallavi’s life. The process of making the movie itself was very nice. I have a transformation and my character grows throughout the movie.”
Besides Karu, Balaji will be soon seen in director Kannan’s next with Atharvaa. “My role in that film, too, is very compelling and something I really like. I play a guy from the city who gives back to the village he comes from,” he says.
