Director Balaji Shakthivel gifted the H2O Tamil Pesum Kadhanayagi diamond pendant to Sanchana and also confirmed that he will use Sanchana as the lead actress in his next film.
The winner and runner ups of the event were introduced in a press meet held at Hotel GRT Grand Days soon after. Speaking on the occasion, John Vijay said that that the main reason for taking this effort was that Tamil actresses would often fail to get National awards as their voices were not used for dubbing. He also recalled how actress Radha had failed to win a National award for her performance in Mudhal Mariyadhai.
