Director Anand Shankar ties the knot

Director Anand Shankar, who helmed Vikram’s Iru Mugan and Vikram Prabhu’s Arima Nambi, married his long-time girlfriend Divyanka yesterday. The wedding happened at a star hotel in Chennai. The director had earlier shared the news of his proposal on his social networking page, “My first ever post about my private life. The wedding was attended by his guru AR Murugadoss, actor Sathyaraj, producer Shibu Thameens, art director Muthuraj and director Rajkumar Periyasamy etc. The duo seem to have been in love for a long time and announced the news after their respective families agreed to the news.
