Malayalam actor-musician Sreenath Bhasi was released on station bail on Monday (Sep 26) evening, hours after being arrested in the verbal abuse case. The young actor was arrested on Monday morning after a case was registered against him for allegedly abusing a female anchor and crew of an entertainment portal.
The incident reportedly happened, while Sreenath Bhasi was being interviewed by the complainant during the promotion of the former’s film ‘Chattambi’.

According to the reports, Sreenath Bhasi lost his cool during the interview, insulted the anchor, and also verbally abused the crew. Following the incident, the anchor filed a complaint and Sreenath Bhasi was summoned to Maradu police station on Monday at 10 am. Though the actor reportedly requested to grant more time, the police denied the request, and Sreenath Bhasi arrived at 1 pm. The actor’s arrest was recorded around 5 pm in the evening, and later released on bail.
The anchor has also lodged a complaint against Sreenath Bhasi and the Women’s commission.
Meanwhile, following the verbal abuse incident, another video of Sreenath Bhasi is circulating on the internet, wherein the actor is seen using abusive and obscene language. The video circulating is of Sreenath Bhasi being interviewed by a male radio jockey for a radio station, and the actor is seen getting irked by the questions and using abusive language against the RJ.

On the other hand, both the above-mentioned videos of Sreenath Bhasi are storming the internet, and netizens and movie buffs are expressing their dissent on the actor’s behaviour, and a few of them are using #BoycottSreenathBhasi hashtag.
