In a conversation with ETimes, Prachi Tehlan speaks about her love for travel, the magic meditation and yoga have brought into her life, her favourite reads, and much more.
Prachi Tehlan has traveled to many places across the globe, however, Kerala remains one of her favourite destinations, and she flies down to the beautiful land very often. “I love the authentic traditional cultural experience the state provides. Even today, people in Kerala wear their traditional attires, eat with their hands, and I find it incredible as they haven’t let the western culture overshadow their values. Kerala has become immensely close to my heart, ever since ‘Mamangam’ happened,” Prachi Tehlan shares.
Of the many journeys, Prachi Tehlan has been on, most of them are solo trips, and she opens up that nothing is as gratifying as that, “It’s enlightening to meet people from different walks of life, different cultures, and geographies. There is a lot to learn, including their culture, history, religion, food culture, and attitude towards life.”

When asked if she has a piece of advice for female solo travellers, Prachi shares some tips, “Be aware of everything happening around. Try to seek accommodation in places that have good customer ratings and are tourist-friendly. Making friends and networking is good, but it is important to stay smart and follow your instincts.”

Ask the ‘Mamangam’ actress about the places that have her heart, and she would say, “Tier 2 cities of India,” without a second thought, and some of the destinations on her travel bucket list are, Darjeeling, Lakshwadeep, Andaman, and the Nicobar Islands, Siliguri, and, Gangtok.

Since she is a wanderlust soul, we asked her if she could take an international celebrity along with her on one such trip, who would it be, and where would they go, she gushes, “I would love to take Alvaro Morte of ‘Money Heist’ to the Himalayas!”

Prachi Tehlan has become a devoted follower of yoga and meditation of late, and when asked about her experience, she says, “I have been through a very tough time, professionally, personally, mentally, and physically. I wanted to take control of my feelings and circumstances. That’s when I opted for a 21-day detox program, which involved yoga and meditation. From eating clean to sticking to good lifestyle habits, and finding a balance emotionally and spiritually through yoga, I felt more confident, powerful, and empowered.”
The gorgeous actress is also a voracious reader, recommends as a must-read before summing up, “The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership is a must-read.”
On the work front, Prachi Tehlan will be next seen in the Telugu film ‘Trishanku’.
