Anu Sithara became the blue-eyed girl of showbiz after she captivated the audience with the character Malini in the film, Ramante Eden Thottam. Born in Wayanad, she is not only a leading actress in Malayalam film industry but has established her career in Tamil films too.
Anu made her acting debut in 2013 through the film Pottas Bomb in a lead role. Later she went on to do character roles in films like Oru Indian Pranayakadha (2013) Anarkali (2013), Happy Wedding (2016), Marupadi (2016), Fukri (2017), Achayans (2017) and Sarvopari Palakkaran (2017).Known for her traditional Malayali looks, she made it big in the silver screen with the films Ramante Eden Thottam and Aana Alaralodalaral as heroine. Veri and Podhu Nalan Karudhi are the upcoming Tamil films in her kitty.
With her beautiful eyes and charming smile, she is most popular for her village belle roles. But she has revealed that she never gets bored of portraying different shades of the ‘naadan pennu’. The actress is also a trained dancer. Dance is a passion, be it be any form, classical or contemporary, she has said. Being trained from the Kerala Kalamandalam, the accomplished dancer owns a dance school in her hometown. Anu is married to her long-time love Vishnu Prasad, a fashion photographer.
Anu Sithara has received accolades for portraying the role of Anitha Sathyan in Jayasurya starrer biographical film, Captain. Her upcoming Malayalam movie is Oru Kuprasidha Payyan.
